HI everyone!

I just got my Prologue Elite. The dealer suggested that I use either a home charger or a portable charger. When connected to a 240-volt outlet, the portable charger charges at 23.1 mph, whereas the home charger charges at 34.1 mph. We should be fine with either option. Is there anything else I need to know about these chargers?

Appreciate it in advance!

Got a 240V power supply in your garage? Awesome! Now, you’ll wanna check what size breaker you’ve got. For a portable 240V charger, you’ll want a 40A breaker, but if you’re going all-in with a permanent charger, bump it up to a 50A breaker for the best performance. Trust me, it’ll save you some hassle!

I use the Level 2 AC charging station at home and it delivers up to 7.6 kW, fully charging my Prologue's 85 kWh battery pack overnight.

On long trips, the Prologue’s DC fast charging capability is a game changer. It can handle up to 150 kW at compatible stations, giving me an estimated 65 miles of range in just 10 minutes. This means I can quickly get back on the road without lengthy charging stops.

@Mitzi00 thanks for asking! We just got our Prologue, and we’re wondering which option to go with. The electrician is scheduled to install the 240v outlet in the garage the day after Christmas. I think we’ll go with the portable charger. There’s a free (yes free!) charger about a mile from our house that's part of the local electric utility’s charge network. We’ll try to use that one when we can.
