I am planning for a trip this weekend with my Prologue. I found some fast-charging stations through the route.
- a Chargepoint 62.5 kW
- and a Blink 180 kW charger
I have some EVgo credits I can use, because of a partnership, but I am not sure if I can use them. It is not showing as part of the network.
Also, do you think is there anything bad for the car if I am using a charger with a higher max rate then my EV's (150)?
Any thoughts from your experiences, please?

For your Prologue, using a Blink 180 kW charger should be fine, even though your car maxes out at 150 kW. The charging station will only provide the amount of power that your EV can handle, so there’s no risk of overloading your battery.

Regarding the EVgo credits, i think, Blink is not included into the EVgo network, so you might not be able to use those credits at the Blink charger. Check any updates on collaborations or workarounds, double-check using EVgo or the Blink app. They usually have updates there. Just keep an eye on your charging time. ask the support of the charging station, if you run across any problems.

While your car can use a charger with a power rating greater than 150 kW, it is considered polite to avoid using a high-power charger when other vehicles are waiting. Using a higher-power charger when you don't need it can cause others to charge slower. However, using a stronger charger will not harm your vehicle. You'll simply be limited to the maximum charging rate your vehicle can handle, which is most likely around 150 kW.

No worries about using the Blink 180 kW. Your car will only draw the amount of power it can handle, you know? There is no risk of overloading the battery. As for the EVgo credits...blink isn't part of the EVgo nework...

Thanks for all the insights, everyone!
@Tengou1118 and @Joel11, I appreciate the clarity on the charging rate.
- I was worried about the 180 kW charger being overkill, but it makes sense now that my Prologue will only pull what it needs;
- And yeah, I will definitely keep an eye on the queue, haha.
- and yes, Blink is not part of Blink's network yer.

Thanks again, everyone!
