Hey y’all!

Just stumbled upon a super cool hack to get around that GM EV auto-shutdown thingy and keep your car running as long as you want. Here’s the scoop: hop in the driver’s seat, give the gas pedal a little tap-tap-tap (three times, yeah?), then tap the brake. If all goes right, you’ll see a message saying the auto-shutdown is off. Boom, you’re all set! Try it out and let me know how it goes, okay?

You sure it works on the Prologue? Anyone here tried this already?
Yeah, it works on certain GM models. I have seen a few folks on forums mentioning this. If I would do it, I would test it out in a safe spot first to be sure. If it works, that would be a game-changer for anyone who struggles with that auto-shutdown.

interesting hack.
Haven't heard about it before, but I am a little hesitant to try it out without knowing if it affects the warranty or anything like that.

So, does anyone know if this could cause issues down the line with software updates or any GM features? Always good to be cautious with these workarounds.

I agree with you, @Moonlink34! Unless someone comes and say he has checked with a dealership or support on whether this could impact anything long-term, I am not going to try it. 🙄
