Electricians showed up this morning and got my home charger set up. Connecting with the Enel X app was actually pretty easy! I started at 73% battery life, and I'm eager to see what the charge rate will be when the battery gets lower.

Having a charger at home is going to make a huge difference—no more hunting for public stations and I can charge overnight! If you’re considering one, I definitely recommend it for the convenience and peace of mind it offers.

I had too but I'm having an issue with my Honda charger. It seems like it's underpowered for the amperage I set it to. I was using it at 50 amps, but it died on me a few days ago. I've checked the SKU and it's definitely a 48 amp unit. Good for you it was set up correctly.

Which type of breaker are you using?

That's fantastic to hear about your home charger. The convenience of charging at home really can't be overstated.
It reminds me of when I first got my electric vehicle and the excitement of no longer relying on those sometimes unreliable public stations. In the early days of electric cars, finding a charging station could feel like hunting for gold. Now, with advancements like the Enel X app, it seems we've come a long way, and I'm glad you had a smooth setup.

As for your question, the charging rate does tend to fluctuate based on various factors: battery health, temperature, and even the specific charger model. It will be interesting to see how efficiently your setup performs over time. And yes, that overningh charging is a game-changer.

Have you thought about any other upgrades or features you might want to explore in the future?

the home charger has already been a game-changer, and I’m excited to see how much easier it makes life with an EV. No more stressing over finding a public charging station or worrying about whether it'll be available, it’s such a relief to just plug in at home and let it charge overnight.

It's amazing how far things have come, especially with apps like Enel X that make the whole process so smooth. I’ll definitely keep an eye on how the charge rate performs over time, especially when the battery gets older. I totally get what you mean about the early days of EV charging feeling like hunting for gold! It’ll be interesting to see if there are any big differences based on those factors you mentioned like temperature and battery health.

As for upgrades, I’ve been toying with the idea of solar panels down the road to pair with the home charger. That could be a nice way to offset some of the energy costs.
