I've been thinking about getting a Honda Prologue, but I'm a bit worried about the battery and its long-term durability. My Honda Civic is still running strong after years, and I'm wondering if an electric car can hold up for that long. Has anyone heard anything about the Honda Prologue's battery life? Any thoughts or experiences to share?

If the EV market keeps booming, there’s a good chance these early electric rides will either disappear or lose their value big time as battery tech gets better and solves those pesky range and climate problems. Sure, some folks might be cool with a range of around 200 miles - down from the original 270 to 300-mile EPA estimate - thanks to battery wear, but who knows how it’ll all shake out in the end.

This is a real concern, yes!
After all, it is a big jump from a gap-powered car to an electric one.
While the Prologue is designed with modern battery technology, it is true that long-term performance can vary based on usage, charging habits, and environmental factors.

Man EVs (including the Prologue), come with warranties that cover the battery for a certain number of years or miles, usually around 8 years or 100k miles, which can give you some peace of mind.
Of course, battery tech is constantly improving, and manufacturers are focusing on durability and efficiency.

Also, note that most EVs maintain a good portion of their original range even after years of use, though some degradation is expected. Just stay informed about your charging practices and battery management because this is what will maximize its lifespan.

I hope this helps you to take a decision. Have a great one.

Just have good charging habits and you and your car will be ok.

The Prologue is equipped with advanced lithium-ion battery technology, which is designed for improved longevity and performance. But as @GameJ0hn1 it depends a lot on your driving and charging habits.

@ChaTheron It is all about charging and driving habits... and weather conditions. Have these in mind and I think you will be ok, man... too much worries are not good.
