Hello everyone! I have this weird question. How does the start/stop button actually work? In my previous car, an ID.4, the car started when I pressed the brake and shut off when I was in the park and exited. I mean, I could skip using the start/stop button. Is it the same in the Prologue?

Hey there! In the Prologue, the start/stop button works a bit like what you’re used to. When you press the brake, the car should start, and when you park and exit, it should turn off automatically. You don’t always have to press the start/stop button unless you want to manually turn the car on or off.

Good question. Start/stop systems can be a little confusing tobe honest! In some cars, like your old ID.4, they're tied to the brake pedal and gear selector, so you don't really need the button. Whether the Prologue works the same way is a good thing to check in the owner's manual. Some cars require you to actually press the button to start, even if you're in park and have your foot on the brake. And others might let you start it without the button but require it to shut down. It really varies between manufacturers. Check the manual. That;s the best way to know for sure how the Prologue's system is designed to work.

Nope. you gotta hit that button both ways! The Chevy Blazer does its thing kinda like your ID.4, but Honda? Oh, they went the start-stop route on purpose.
