Best dashcam for Prologue?

Hey Prologue owners!

I have a Fitcamx in my Prologue, and I absolutely love it because it blends in perfectly with the interior. I mean, there are no visible cables, and it looks like it came installed from the factory. I noticed they don't list one for my model on their website, but I have reached out to them directly and now I am waiting for a response.

in the meantime, has anyone else found a dashcam solution that has that clean factory look? Open to suggestions if you have found something similar. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I'm using VIOFO dash cam. It's great quality and has been working flawlessly since I bought it.

You know, it’s wild how many dash cam brands there are out there, but it seems like they all come from the same few factories. It’s like they slap a different label on the same camera and call it a new product. I guess it’s a good strategy for them, but it can be confusing for us consumers. I have not purchased a different dash cam but I’m considering wolfbox g900.

If they don’t get back to you, check out the Viofo A139 Pro, super compact, great video quality, and you can tuck the cables into the headliner for a clean look.

Car and Driver rated the brand Vantrue N4 as their best dash cam and then followed Cobra SC 400D. I haven't bought any but I was going through their list. I might try Vantrue N4.

Have you asked if the Chevy Trailblazer model fits the Prologue or are the mirror attachments different?

A good dashcam isn’t just for catching bad drivers, it’s an extra layer of security, especially when traveling with family. If you’re looking for a clean install, you can try a Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2, which is tiny but still records in high quality. You can also use a hardwire kit with just about any cam to keep cables hidden and power it even when parked. Definitely worth having.
