Hey folks! We've had our Prologue for almost 2 weeks and are awaiting delivery of the Level 2 charger. Wondering how long delivery took for others. I already have a 60 amp box I installed in my shed last year, so install should be super simple.

Thanks!

Chris S.

We got our Prologue on 11/20 and went thru the Honda Home Electrification process. They assigned us an electrician to upgrade our electrical box. The electrician delivered the charger and installed it last Wednesday on 12/4, so 2 weeks for us...

Did they send the charger to you directly, or to the electrician? I had figured that I would be the one tracking down a reputable electrician for this.

Welcome to the forum Chris and congrats on your Prologue!

Where did you buy your L2 charger?
It comes free with the car (Honda offered 3 charging choices: Credits only, portable charge and credits, or Level 2 charger & credits.)

Our dealer didn't know about the process (they do now!), but I did contact Honda and got a quote for install. The quote was unreasonably high for my install, so I will most likely install it myself. I looked at the manual and it isn't very complicated - the trickiest part (which isn't actually difficult) is removing the cover of the charger to disconnect the 50A plug & cord that it ships with and hardwire it directly. I'm just debating on whether of not I want to go through the City building permit process at this point :sneaky:

Honda’s Level 2 charger delivery times have been all over the place, some people get them fast, others wait weeks. If you’re stuck waiting too long, you might want to look at an aftermarket option. The Prologue should work fine with most standard Level 2 chargers, and you can always keep the Honda-branded one as a backup when it finally arrives.

Grads on your log! Leased outs January 7th. Just got the level 2 charger from Honda yesterday Feb 27. It's an okay unit, only charges at a max 30amps.
