Hi! Hey guys, do you know if it is ok if I use the wireless charging slot for storing other things? For example, sunglasses or keys. Someone told me it was not ok, but he didn't give me any good explanation. Ty!

Oh, no-no! Don't put anything in that wireless charging slot except the phone you're planning to juice up. Learned that the hard way when my daughter decided to stash her Skittles there. A little while later, I got a whiff of plastic cooking and it hit me - turns out, the charging pad got triggered. The dash even popped up with a "Phone Charging" message. Just... super weird!

I have that feature in my car as well. I usually store anything that isn’t metal or wet in there. Metal can drain the battery, and, of course, wet items are best avoided for obvious reasons.

I agree with @queencakes. It's tempting to toss random stuff on the wireless charging pad, but be careful! If you put something metal or conductive on it, the charging coil can induce a current in it, which could make it get hot and that's not good. Probably won't cause a major meltdown, but it's a risk you don't need to take.

Yeah, I do the same! I usually keep non-metal and dry stuff in there, or just my chargeable phones. Definitely don’t want to risk draining the battery or messing with anything wet
