I'd also vote for the 19s! Definitely helps with range on the longer road trips. This is where every bit of efficiency matters.
Plus, if you're more about comfort than style, the smaller wheels give a smoother ride over rough terrain.
Go for 21s if you are more into aggressive looks.

This is what I also do. I also use a Lvl 2 charging at home and limit DC fast charging to long trips.
What kind of range are you getting with your EV so far?
I like the hardwired option more because of the speed and reliability. Also, they tend to be safer in the long run, you know? And yeah, you might be right with the costs. Anyway, what kind of EV do you have? What charging options are you more into?
