Does Honda cover any costs?

Hello everyone! I was wondering. If you buy a third-party charger and have an electrician install it, does Honda cover any costs?

According to the Honda Electrifcation website, you only get the $500 credit if you use Honda to do the install. Otherwise they ship you the charger for free. And then you would have to do it yourself or pay an electrician. There is nothing on their website to indicate that they will reimburse you for a 3rd party charger.

If you’re looking for the easiest route, maybe just go with Honda for the install to get that $500 credit. Otherwise, you’ll be on your own with the third-party charger and electrician costs. Could be a bit more of a headache.

It's a good idea to check with Honda directly to be 100% sure, but I wouldn’t bet on getting any reimbursement.
