I've been using HondaLink for a few years now, and while it's functional, I've always found it a bit lacking compared to OnStar. I have two Hondas, and all of them use the app to some extent.

One of my biggest frustrations is the app's unreliable connectivity. I can't tell you how many times I've opened it only to find that the data is outdated. Even when the car is sitting in my driveway with good coverage, refreshing the data often fails.

Any HondaLink tricks for improving connectivity?

I’ve figured out that if you completely close the app and then pop it back open, it updates way better. Just slapping that refresh button isn’t doing the trick.

Yeah, connectivity issues are really annoying.

One trick that helped me was to completely close the app and reopen it, just like @piszczel said.

This seems to force a better refresh than just hitting the refresh button.

Hopefully, this will fix the problem. If not, check for any app updates or try to reinstall it.

Turn on the phone's location. Thank me later. :)

@NormalEV002 is right. That is what worked for me. I had exactly the same issue as you. And I am not exaggerating.
