Is the service soon light just heat?

I'm a bit worried because my service soon light came on recently. I called the dealership and they seemed to think it was just a normal service, but I'm pretty sure it's more like an engine warning light. I'm going to plug it in overnight and see if that helps. Hopefully it's just a heat-related issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you suspect it is more than just a routine service alert?
Yes, the service soon light can indicate several issues. Hopefully, it is not an engine or emissions system problem.
Try to plug the car overnight, and see what happens. Maybe it will clear any temporary issues related to low battery or power fluctuations.
If not, use an OBD-II scanner to check for any specific error codes.

How is it now? Try rebooting your car.

Any luck with plugging it in overnight?

If it is still showing the light, I agree with @Moonlink34. Checking with an OBD-II scanner might give you a clearer idea of what's going on.

The dealership might have brushed it off, but if it feels like more than a routine issue, better to catch it early.

Hope you will find the cause and the fix.

So, you are not alone in this... and I can see you are taking the right steps (by plugging it in overnight). In my opinion, I think it is just a temporary heat-related issue... Let us know how it ends.
