Just took my Prologue Touring AWD on its first real test, a short road trip from the city to the mountains, and figured I’d share some range insights for those curious. We started off fully charged in hot, sunny weather, and with the mountain drive ahead, I wasn’t sure what to expect. By the time we reached our destination, we had around 38% battery left, which was right in line with my expectations given the hills and the heat.

On the way back, it was cooler, and going downhill seemed to give us a nice efficiency boost. We actually had about 45% left by the time we got home after some extra detours! This trip makes me feel a lot more confident about our upcoming 180-mile drive, where it’s mostly flat.

Loving this first experience, and it’s great to see how the Prologue holds up on real-world drives!

I haven't gone with mine on a longer trip, because of the unknown. But reading about your experience, gave me a boost of trust and confidence, haha! 45% after some detours is pretty impressive. You haven't said anything about the driving modes you have used. Anything on that?

You should download PlugShare! It's a lifesaver for finding charging stations on your route. I used it along with the onboard Google Maps in my Prologue. Google Maps was mainly used to pre-condition the battery before I got to the charger. I did a 200-mile trip and had to stop twice to charge because of range anxiety. But on the way back, starting with 85% charge, I only needed to stop once and still had 30% left when I got home.
