Just hit the two-week mark with my Honda Prologue Elite (Black), and while I’m loving the car, I’m still finalizing my home charging setup.

For those who have already completed their installation:
✔ Which Level 2 charger did you choose? Any standout options?
✔ Was the installation straightforward, or did you run into issues?
✔ Any recommendations on electricians, installation costs, or rebates?

Congrats on the Prologue, for my Level 2 charger, I went with the JuiceBox 40, it’s been great. Installation was smooth for me, but definitely check out local electricians who specialize in EV setups. As for rebates, some local utilities offer them...

I chose an Emporia Level 2 charger, with the load management option. For installation, I started with QMerit, who assessed my site and referred me to a local contractor who specializes in charger installation. It went smoothly and I'm confident it was done right, but it wasn't cheap.

There's a federal tax credit for buying an EV. My state government and utility company offer incentives for buying an EV and installing a charger, but I didn't qualify for any of them. My utility company offers reduced price electricity during off-peak hours, so I changed my rate plan and configured my charger to run after midnight.

Hello @Sweet_Johnson . We use the “portable” charger that came with our Prologue. My electrician installed a NEMA 14-50 outlet in our garage, and I bought a 25’ heavy duty 50amp extension cord on Amazon ($100). Electrician charged me $530, and $290 of that was just the 6/3 Romex. My local electric utility has a $250 rebate for an EV outlet install, so net total cost for the project is $100 + $530 - $250 = $380. We’re very happy with the results. Charge time from about 20% to 80% is about 5 hours, give or take. We have a free charging station not far from our house, so we try to use it when we can. Best of luck with your new Prologue!
