So I just got a receiver hitch installed on my car to hook up my bike rack and e-bike. Pretty stoked about it! But, I totally forgot to check the towing package limits. Anyone know what the towing capacity is? I mean, I’ll probably just be using it for my bike, but it's always good to know the limits, right?

I am not quite sure the exact towing capacity, but you can check this information on your manual, it should have the maximum weight.

Towing’s capped at 1500 lbs, and you can’t go over 150 lbs for the tongue weight. Oh, and they’ve shifted the hands-free lift gate sensor way to the right, too! Just so you know!

Welcome to the forum, @dasviech! Installing a receiver hitch is a fantastic way to enhance your vehicle's versatility. Regarding towing capacity, it can vary quite a bit, so it is best to consult your vehicle's manual for the exact figure. Most vehicles cap towing at around 1,500 lbs, as @Night_Wing said, and it is crucial to stay within those limits for safety.

Most modern vehicles have a towing capacity ranging from 1000 to 5000 lbs, depending on the make and model. But go for the owner's manual for more precise details. Anyway, it is always wise to verify towing package limits, so good job on the initiative.
