Thanks mate,Great question! To keep your Honda Prologue's battery between 20% and 80%, first check to see if the car's app or settings allow you to set charging limits. Some EVs allow you to program these limits, which can aid in battery management. Using a smart home charger that allows you to set charging times can also be useful. Regularly monitoring your battery levels will allow you to stay within this range and avoid overcharging. Additionally, consulting the Prologue's manual for any specific recommendations on battery maintenance is a good idea. Does anyone else have any tips or features for optimizing home charging for the Prologue?
Makes perfect sense, the idea is to not charge to 100% too frequently.I usually charge mine when it reaches about 60% full. You can charge it to 100%, especially on long winding road trips, but it is not recommended to charge it to 100% all the time, especially if you are only driving in the city.
You are on the right track. You are really doing a great job. What range do you usually need daily? Once a week (up to twice) it is ok if you charge it 100%.I want to improve my battery life by keeping the charge level between 20% and 80%, what tips or settings can I use to maintain this range? Is there a feature to automate charging limits?
Thanks! I usually need about 150-200 miles a day, so keeping it between 20-80% works well for me.You are on the right track. You are really doing a great job. What range do you usually need daily? Once a week (up to twice) it is ok if you charge it 100%.
Thanks for the tip! I’m in Virginia, so I’ll keep an eye on the temps here. I’ll definitely park in the garage more during those colder days. These guys said almost everything, haha! Another thing you should have in mind @Shugs is the temperature. Extreme temperatures can affect battery life. When parking for extended periods and it is cold outside, try to find shade or a garage to keep the battery in a moderate temperature range.
Then you have no reason to charge it to 100% often. Keep it up!Thanks! I usually need about 150-200 miles a day, so keeping it between 20-80% works well for me.
Definitely do that! Thanks for the tip! I’m in Virginia, so I’ll keep an eye on the temps here. I’ll definitely park in the garage more during those colder days.
