I just picked up a Honda Prologue EX, and I’m loving it so far! But I just realized it doesn’t come with a 110V AC outlet, which I could really use for charging small devices or running low-power gadgets on the go.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to add an aftermarket AC outlet? Maybe something that can integrate neatly into the car without too much hassle? I’ve heard of people using inverters, but I’m not sure how well those work or if they’re compatible with the Prologue’s setup.

If anyone’s done this? any suggestions on the best way to go about it?

Adding an aftermarket AC outlet is possible with an inverter, but ensure it's compatible with your car's power system. You might want to consult a professional for a clean installation.

You can add an aftermarket AC outlet. A 12V to 110V power inverter is the easiest way, just plugs right into the accessory port. If you want a more permanent setup, you could hardwire a pure sine wave inverter directly to the 12V battery. Just keep the wattage low so you don’t overload the system.

Yes, you can use an inverter with the 12v outlets, but it's limited to low-power devices like a laptop. It won’t support something like an 800-watt iron.
