I’m trying to hook up my old iPod to my Honda Prologue using an audio-to-Bluetooth adapter, but the infotainment screen is totally giving me the cold shoulder and saying it’s incompatible. Has anyone out there figured out how to get an old-school audio source to play nice with their Prologue? Would love any tips! Thanks!

Bluetooth pairing shouldn't be difficult. Which adapters have you tried? The audio-to-USB adapter won’t work because the USB interface only reads data from a USB drive and doesn’t detect audio signals.

Just try a different Bluetooth adapter specifically designed for audio input, like a 3.5mm aux Bluetooth receiver.

These devices usually connect via the auxiliary input, bypassing the USB limitations altogether.

Also, you could try using a dedicated Bluetooth receiver that plugs into your iPod's headphone jack.

I wish you good luck with this one.

What iPod are you using? The classic one or the Nano one? You can try pairing a 30-pin Lightning adapter with a Bluetooth audio receiver. I think this might work.

Maybe the Bluetooth in the prologue is only for connecting to phones.
Have you tried to connect anything else like a set of headphones to test the connection?

A good way to connect an old fashioned audio source to your Prologue is via an FM transmitter. For example, a Scosche TuneShift. This model has a 3.5mm AUX socket and a USB-A socket to power your old device.

I tried several Bluetooth adapters, without success. For more information, see PrologueDrivers.

I just saw this. I don't know a way of connecting an Ipod. But, if this helps, I placed all my MP3s on a thumb drive and tried playing them with the player that comes up. It wouldn't recognize folders so I downloaded Audiowagon and it works well. The only problem I have is evertime yu get in the car and want to use it, you have to give it permission to access the drive. Sounds great.

This is good to know. I feel like you are talking from experience, haha!
