Hey guys!

Is there a way to turn off that cringy music that blasts when I’m driving or reversing my Honda Prologue under 25 mph? Like, it’s super embarrassing lol. Any hacks to ditch that feature?

Hey mate, I believe it is required by law and currently you can't change the sound.

That sound is indeed a legal requirement for low-speed electric vehicles like the Honda Prologue. It is designed to ensure pedestrians can hear you coming. Unfortunately, there is no official way to disable it without potentially voiding your warranty.

Sadly, that sound is there to keep everyone safe. I haven't heard of any hacks to turn it off. This is a unique conversation, anyway.

I mean, Teslas don’t have a sound like that. Only when reversing. So obviously, it’s not a regulation that’s required, it’s something the manufacturer decided to implement. They should give you the option of changing it, or at least disabling it except in reverse.

Edit: it even plays when you’re fully stopped as long as you’re not in park. It’s ridiculous.

I drove a road tour through a wildlife refuge at no more than 10mph for 8 miles, The car singing its warning sound was very annoying. There needs to be some kind of switch that resets on each new start, with a warning screen that makes us check that we are aware that we are killing the tone and its intended safety. Even a pause with an auto restart after 10 minutes would be helpful.

I do understand that if I hit someone without the tone playing I could be “charged with battery”!
