I'm having a major issue with the Honda app. It was working okay with my Prologue, but then it completely stopped functioning. I can still get push notifications, but trying to check the car's status or send commands results in instant failure messages. It's really frustrating, especially since I was out of the country during this time. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any tips on how to fix it, or should I just wait for Honda to sort it out?

There are two possibilities:
1. delete everything related to the app, and then reinstall it (usually it works);
2. it could have helped to say what kind of failure message you were taking, but sometimes the app wouldn't work if there were cloud/server data. In this case, Honda should "repair" it manually.

Someone's post some where else said to log out of the app and then log back in. I've had a good two weeks since then. I got my car in June and it occassionally worked. Now It's good.

I had a similar issue with my Prologue and the Honda app. It suddenly stopped syncing, and I couldn’t check my car’s status or use remote features. I tried reinstalling the app, and after a couple of attempts, it eventually started working again. If you haven’t tried that yet, I’d suggest giving it a shot. If that doesn’t fix it, you might need to contact Honda support.

I had a 2019 Accord and 2023 CRV and these methods worked to reconnect the HondaLink app to the vehicle’s data, however, after one week with my new Prologue, HondaLink+OnStar suddenly disconnected. I cleared cache, logoff/logon the app and phone, deleted/reinstalled the app and altered between WiFi and Cellular connections - nothing works. Honda Tech Support suggested waiting 48 hours, then call back (another 45 min on hold). OnStar suggested I call Honda. With ICE vehicles, HondaLink is fun, but with an EV it’s part of the system. Honda needs to update this service and how it connects to their servers and then to the car. Until then I will use an OBD2 BLE dongle with ABRP and Sidecar apps.
